Halloween Mini Album - Cricut Swap

I was in a mini album swap on the Cricut Messageboard.  These are pics of the zoo album I made.  I designed it completely in the Gypsy and used a hodge podge of cartridges.  I've had my Gypsy since it launched in 2009.  I am just now getting around to use it.  Maybe I was too overwhelmed beforehand?  Regardless, I can't imagine Cricut action without it! love love love it.  This was a fun mini!

CTMH 3 Ring Binder

I have quickly become addicted to the CTMH 3 ring binders.  Inspiration/tutorial may be found here at Fabulously Artsy . I am trying to encourage (or make) myself do more stamping in my mini's and smaller projects.  I hoard stamps and seldom do I incorporate stamps in my scrapbooking.  This was a great way to use several various stamps.  I have 5 more of these albums to make.  Trying to think of special themes.  Perhaps Halloween?  Travel? Here are some pics...

NAW Challenge # 2

This last week, Annmarie had the task of assigning our weekly NAW challenge. we were to 1) do a 12x12 layout 2) make it family theme 3) use ribbon 4) have a place for at least 2 photos 5) use 3 different cricut cartridges.

I used the "boom di ada" paper line from CTMH. i also used "ornamental iron" for the journaling block, "graphically speaking" for the title and "straight from the nest" for the fun tree. i used a SU border punch and some chocolate ribbon from SU. and finished it off with some imperfect stitching and some bling on the title.

yet another FUN challenge.

Vintage Circle Weekly Challenge

This week's challenge over at the Circle Blog was to create a layout using a given sketch.  We were asked to use a vintage style. I must say, i was a bit nervous as vintage is way out of my scrapping element.  I found that i had the perfect paper and used the "notebook" line from CTMH.  i also used "french manor" to cut the border and "heritage" to cut the title and journaling tag.  I ended up having a lot of fun making this layout.

1st NAW Challenge

Some friends and I have started to create weekly challenges to help get our creative juices flowing. How the name was determined; it's just an acronym of our first names: natalie, annmarie and wynn. i came up with 5 criteria for the first official NAW challenge
1) design a 12x12 layout with thanksgiving in mind
2) must have 3 cricut cuts, one being symbolic to thanksgiving
3) use the color PLUM
4) incorporate a punch of some sort
5) include a journaling spot

i used the "enchanted" line from CTMH. and a tiny 2" scrap from DCWV pack, "indian summer"  I also used the dimensional borders for the flourish from CTMH. i cut "bountiful" at 2", the pumpkin at 1 3/4", the turkey at 1 3/4" and the hat at 1 1/2.  all cuts were made using the thanksgiving seasonal cartridge.

i also incorporated a little sewing, which is not perfect by any means.

Thank You Color Challenge - Circle Blog

I recently signed up for the Cricut Circle membership and love all the "perks" that come with it.  The exclusive Circle Blog gives weekly challenges.  This is my first to enter.  We were asked to make a "thank you" card using 4 given colors: magenta, apricot, deep olive and golden yellow.  We were also required to use at least 2 different Cricut cuts.

This is my entry.  I used "Cindy Loo" for the sentiment and "Fabulous Finds" for the bracket.  I had so much fun making this and look forward to doing more weekly challenges!
